Bryson DeChambeau is LIV Golf’s biggest star; there is absolutely no debate about that.

So it goes without saying that LIV Golf fans might be concerned about DeChambeau’s future, given the league’s current situation.

LIV Golf as an entity was thrown into complete chaos earlier this week when Saudi Arabia’s PIF announced that it would be withdrawing their financial backing of the league at the end of the 2026 season.

As a result, Bryson DeChambeau‘s future with LIV Golf has been thrown into doubt.

It has been claimed that Bryson DeChambeau is one of 20 LIV Golf players who could be looking for a new place to play from 2027 onwards.

However, it has also been claimed that DeChambeau is still in talks with LIV Golf regarding a new contract.

It was claimed in April that DeChambeau sounded out PGA Tour officials regarding a potential return.

That has since been denied by numerous sources, and now the two-time US Open champion has addressed those rumors directly.

He spoke to X account Flushing It, and responded when asked about the reports claiming he has spoken to the PGA Tour about a potential return.

It’s completely untrue. I’m working as hard as I can to find a solution, DeChambeau said.

“I’m committed to making team golf work in the best way possible. I think there’s a place for it in the ecosystem and I want to continue to grow the game across the world.

That’s always been our mission and it’s never been more true than now.”

While some golf fans doubt the validity of DeChambeau’s ‘growing the game’ mantra, he has started a really exciting initiative to help out junior golfers all over the United States.

So maybe he does care about growing the game from the ground up.

Bryson DeChambeau opens up on junior golf initiative

During DeChambeau’s interview with Flushing It, he lifted the lid on an exciting new initiative he has planned for junior golf.

“We’re building a bunch of junior golf events right now and each team is looking to build junior golf academies, he said.

“That’s something that we’ve been working on for almost three or four months now.

“We’re looking to host an event here coming up, probably in the next, I’d say, couple of months, because we want to do something special by the Team Championship.

“There’s definitely some really cool things in the works.”

Bryson DeChambeau is clearly extremely committed to growing the game, and the work that the LIV Golf star does with junior golf proves that.

Perhaps he actually deserves a lot more credit than he gets.
