Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie Woods, made his return to the golf course on Thursday. The 17-year-old played at the Terra Cotta Invitational this week, which was his first time playing since his father’s car crash and subsequent DUI arrest.

Woods ranked 57th out of 72 after shooting 79 and 71 in rounds one and two, leaving him six over. Thursday was full of ups and downs. He started with five bogeys on the front nine, before getting a couple of birdies later on. However, he still finished with three straight bogeys.

After a dramatic collapse at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in South Carolina, Woods continued to struggle.

During an appearance on “The Smylie Show,” Justin Thomas shared details of his relationship with Charlie Woods.

“I wanna be if he wants me to be,” the 32-year-old said. “I wanna help in any way I can. The shots that he can hit, a lot of guys on Tour can’t hit. He’s very, very impressive and I’m rooting for the best.”

“He’s grown up a lot. He’s still a little punk but not a total punk kid. He can beat me up so I can’t say too much,” he said.

Woods still has time to improve his game, but his last two outings haven’t been as positive as expected.
