Davis Lamb’s win at the Club Car Championship was about more than just a final-round 68. For the 28-year-old, it was the emotional culmination of a multi-year journey to fight his way back onto the Korn Ferry Tour.

Speaking to Golf.com on Sunday, he admitted in tears, “I mean so much. I, you know, I missed here at Second Stage two years ago. It’s just been a journey back. I never gave up.”

And when asked what tested him the most, he said, “Trusting yourself. I know I’m good enough to win. I know all that. But, you know, if you don’t see it happen, you can’t be sure. So to get that validation is unbelievable.”

During the interview, Davis Lamb referred to his 2024 tournament, when he finished No. 120 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List and lost his card. He spent 2025 playing his way back through PGA TOUR Americas, finishing No. 3 to regain status for 2026.

Even before that, in 2023, Lamb picked up two wins on PGA TOUR Canada, the ATB Classic and the Quebec Open, in consecutive starts, showing what he could do when it clicked.

What’s Next for Davis Lamb on the Korn Ferry Tour

Davis Lamb now moves into the remaining stretch of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour schedule, with events continuing through April, May, and early June.

The run includes stops in Lakewood Ranch, Knoxville, Raleigh, and Greer, covering the next phase of the season.

This phase of the season will shape where he stands on the points list. He earned his spot for 2026 after finishing No. 3 on the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas points list, and the focus now is to stay inside the top 20 to secure a PGA TOUR card for 2027.

That push begins with how he has opened the season. Lamb has already posted a T17 finish at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic and a T22 at The Bahamas Golf Classic.

Following his win at the Club Car Championship, he has moved up to No. 3 on the points list, putting him in a strong position as the season continues.
