While Team Europe arrived in sharp formal attire complete with ties, Scottie Scheffler and his American teammates showed up without neckties – a fashion faux pas that sparked immediate backlash across social media.

“Europe dressed to win, 1up,” one fan commented, perfectly capturing the sentiment that swept through golf Twitter and Instagram. The criticism didn’t stop there, with another fan directly calling out the world’s top player: “Put a tie on. Horrible example for his young son” in reference to Scheffler‘s social media post from the event.

“Ugh no ties. What is this a corporate casual meeting? Be better,” another frustrated supporter wrote, echoing the growing chorus of disappointed American golf fans.
