Golfing whiz Kai Trump is targeting professional golf sooner than most, and the sporting world is beginning to take note. The young prodigy has plans to combine her flourishing business empire with her sporting ambitions, delighting many.
The 18-year-old has now signed with the University of Miami and will begin her college studies there this August. This is another addition to her growing list of accomplishments, with the hope of one day competing with the best of the best in the professional league.
While speaking with her fans, Trump laid out her 5-year plan and made a bold career prediction. “In 5 years, hopefully I’ll be graduating from college then, and I can really see myself hopefully being on the LPGA tour playing professional golf,” she explained.
This was said during a YouTube Q&A session where Trump also discussed her recovering from her wrist surgery, which happened on January 6. Having been sidelined for ten weeks, her aspirations for her career have only been amplified.
Outside of golf, her focus is on a dual-discipline career in marketing and management. She intends to specialize in marketing to empower her to manage her brand while competing at the top.
After surgery, Kai has had to put her pursuit of the professional circuit on hold while she recovers. Kai described the emotional toll this experience has had, stating, “It was terrible for the first real month; it was so mentally hard and, like, challenging because I couldn’t do anything that I love to do.”
During the first three weeks of recovery, Kai was physically dependent on others to complete simple tasks. She stated, “I couldn’t change for myself, I couldn’t shower, I couldn’t eat because I couldn’t really cut the food by myself.”
