The great Jack Nicklaus isn't interested in bashing Tiger Woods despite his recent arrest.

Woods, 50, was arrested by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office on March 27 after being involved in a rollover accident. Not only was he arrested on the suspicion of DUI, he was charged with refusing to take a chemical or physical test of his breath or urine.

It was previously reported that Woods had pain pills in his pocket while at the scene of the crash. With that said, the legendary golfer isn't at the Masters this week so he can focus on his health.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery,” Woods said in a recent statement. “I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

Nicklaus, who participated in Thursday's opening ceremony at Augusta National, shared his thoughts on Woods' absence.

Despite all the outrage regarding Woods' arrest, Nicklaus declared that golf needs its biggest star back on the course as long as he's healthy.

"Whatever you need to help you and get back," Nicklaus said, via the New York Post. "Because I think golf needs him, and we’d love to have him back."

Gary Player also shared his thoughts on Tiger

Player was asked about Woods' situation after hitting a ceremonial tee shot at the Masters this Thursday morning. He was supportive of the five-time Masters champion while also handing out some advice.

"Do I blame him for taking medicine? Hell, no," Player said. "He has sleep deprivation. Do I blame him for taking something to help him sleep? No. But I don't think he should drive a car. When you're taking that medicine, it's dangerous when you're driving a car, same as it's dangerous when you look at your cellphone in the car."

The PGA Tour has already offered its full support to Woods, so we can't rule out a comeback. First things first though, he needs to get his life back on track.
