SAN ANTONIO — J.J. Spaun carried his strong play straight into Masters week by winning the 2026 Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio on Sunday.
Spaun finished at 17‑under par (271) to edge the field by one stroke in a dramatic final round, closing with a 5‑under 67 that included key birdies and an eagle down the stretch.
The victory — Spaun’s second at the Texas Open and third on the PGA Tour — gives him confidence and momentum just days before golf’s first major of the year begins at Augusta National.
“It’s a great feeling heading to The Masters just like this,” Spaun said after the win, showing the kind of form that could translate to success in Georgia.
With the Valero title in the bag, Spaun joins the field in Augusta this week looking to build on his strong finish and chase another major moment.
