John Daly didn’t mince words when addressing Tiger Woods’ agent, whom he believes has done the legendary golfer wrong. Woods starred in another car crash at the end of March,
The 50-year-old flew oversize to get help following another arrest for driving under the influence. Despite blowing a 0.00 at the scene, Woods refused to take a urine test.
As he continues his rehab, allegedly in Switzerland, he remains a hot topic in America. Daly, who has urged Woods to get off painkillers for years, expressed his frustration with the situation.
Talking with Men’s Journal, John Daly called out Mark Steinberg, who previously served as Director of Global Golf Business at IMG. Daly said that Woods’ loyalty to his agent might be costing him too much.
“Tiger, you have a $65 million plane. You have all the cars you want for free,” Daly said. “His agents f–k him so bad, and I’m so pissed right now.”
He added that Woods’ camp’s inability to make him hire a private driver has also hurt the player.
“They should have taken care of that kid, and they never did,” Daly said. “I hate his agents and always will. If he would be with us at Wasserman (recently rebranded as The Team in the wake of named partner Casey Wasserman’s link to the Epstein files) … nothing would have happened.”
Everybody’s rooting for Woods, but Daly has his reservations about the agent’s agenda.
