Along with airing early coverage of The Masters golf tournament coming up in early April, Prime Video is set to debut another streaming feed for the tournament.
Josh Carpenter of Sports Business Journal reported Wednesday that the streaming service will have a second feed dedicated solely to “Amen Corner,” the famed 11th, 12th, and 13th holes at Augusta National Golf Course. Coverage on Thursday and Friday would begin at 10:45 am and run until approximately 6:00 pm, while the weekend coverage would begin an hour later and run also until 6:00.
Titled “Inside Amen Corner,” the feed would a data and statistical breakdown of play on those three holes for all four days of the tournament. It would be akin to the Prime Vision broadcast feed that Amazon has for its NFL coverage, and will not replace the club’s own Amen Corner feed, which is in its 20th year of being streamed online..
The broadcasting team has not yet been announced for “Inside Amen Corner.”
The new feed would be alongside Prime Video’s coverage of the first two rounds from Augusta National. Amazon announced last fall that it would have live coverage from 1:00-3:00 pm eastern of both Thursday and Friday’s rounds before handing off to ESPN, who will have rights from 3:00-7:00 pm eastern.
Fans can also watch coverage of every shot of the tournament using the Masters app, available for both iOS and Android.
