Men’s Olympic golf odds, early picks: Betting preview for Paris 2024

Following the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, the Men's Olympic Golf field has been set set. BetRivers has posted odds first for the men's competition, and I have two Men's Olympic Golf Picks below.

Men's Olympic Golf Picks & Betting Preview

Le Golf National hosts the Men's Olympic Golf competition this year in Paris, and it's a familiar track because it annually hosts the Open de France on the DP World Tour.

It's also notably remembered for hosting the 2018 Ryder Cup when the Europeans dominated the Americans 17.5 to 10.5.

The style needed is apparent: find the fairway, hit the green and hope the putter gets hot. This is not a place to bomb and gauge, as the U.S. found out in 2018.

Alex Noren and Tom Kim both popped out to me immediately after first glance at +5000.

Noren has a win on this course at the 2018 Open de France when Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia were among others in contention. The Swede routinely finished inside the top 20 here back when he was playing in Europe exclusively with five of his last six starts at Le Golf National being top 20s.

He's also having one of his better years on the PGA Tour with 10 top-25 finishes, which have all come in his last 12 starts as he ranks 10th on Tour this season in Strokes Gained: Total through the U.S. Open.

Noren also was a member of that 2018 European Ryder Cup team and defeated Bryson DeChambeau at Le Golf National in Singles one up while going 2-1 overall in that Ryder Cup.

Tom Kim +5000

On the other hand, Tom Kim has never played the course in competition, but this is a dream fit for him because of his Driving Accuracy, iron play and putting upside. If the 21-year-old who already has three PGA Tour wins finds the greens to his liking, that price is a gift for this type of course.

For reference, against a significantly stronger field of 71 golfers on the PGA Tour this week at the Travelers Championship, Kim is only 45-1.
