Last May, Michael Block delighted millions of viewers across the country and at Oak Hill Country Club as the longtime PGA professional did the unfathomable. While most PGA Professionals are lucky to make the cut of a major championship, Block played his way into contention.
But the Cinderella story didn't stop there. Block added a few fireworks along the way, including an ace while paired with Rory McIlroy on the final day.
UNBELIEVABLE!

In the end, Block finished the 2023 PGA Championship T-15 and automatically qualified for this year's PGA Championship at Valhalla. It's the ultimate underdog, feel-good story.
CBS Sports announced Tuesday that Block would once again be in the limelight before the PGA Championship. In a joint effort with CBS and Paramount+, "One Moment in Time: Michael Block's Miracle in May" will air on Sunday, May 11 at 1 PM CT.

The special is expected to give an in-depth recap of Block's magical week in Rochester last year. The PGA is also expected to help draw in casual viewers by reliving one of last season's biggest moments. These efforts will help generate as much interest as possible in preparation for the season's second major, which just so happens to be the PGA's championship.
Honestly, I am all for this. I'm a "Block Head" at heart and can't wait for this special to air. Reliving the magic of last season and gaining eyes heading into Valhalla is a great branding move by the PGA.
Of course, Michael Block will be at Valhalla, but it'll be tough to live up to the Miracle in May. Regardless, no one will forget his incredible performance in Rochester last year.
