This past weekend, the No. 1 golfer on the LPGA Tour, Nelly Korda, played in the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
While she finished tied for No. 19, shooting 6-over in the tournament, there is still a silver lining to her result. Around this time last year, Korda was forced to withdraw from a Ladies European Tour event after a dog bit her.
The two-time major championship winner didn't reveal the nature of the attack at the time, but did express to NBC last July that she was bitten in the thigh by a dog while in Seattle.
On Thursday, Korda took to her Instagram Story to share pictures of the bite for the first time, and provided a glimpse into the incident.

"Throwing it back to a year ago when I got bit by a dog at a coffee shop ," wrote Korda.
Aside from withdrawing from a tournament, Korda wasn't too focused on golf this time of last year. In the interview with NBC, she actually revealed that she "didn’t even look" at her clubs following the 2024 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, and that she was more so focused on "healing."
Korda will have a chance to rest after her 19th-place finish this past weekend as she will not be playing in the upcoming Dow Championship, which will take place June 26-29 at the Midland Country Club in Midland, Michigan.
Until then, she has a chance to refresh and also reflect about what was a troubling time at this point of last year.
