Shocking news hit the PGA Tour social media scene late on Monday night, as fan-favorite player-caddie duo Joel Dahmen and Geno Bonnalie have reportedly split after working together for over ten years, according to Matt Gannon.

Skratch's Dan Rapaport also confirmed that Dahmen and Bonnalie are no longer working together, with Dahmen telling him, "It was time. We had a great run."

Dahmen and Bonnalie have been friends since their childhood, as they grew up near the Washington/Idaho border and played golf together at Quailridge Golf Course and Bryden Canyon Golf Course. When Dahmen received Korn Ferry Tour status in 2015, Bonnalie "applied" to become his caddie by writing him a heartfelt letter through email. The letter was later shared on Netflix's "Full Swing" in 2023, where Dahmen and Bonnalie's friendship and player-caddie relationship were publicly displayed. During the episode, Dahmen opened up about his mental struggles and how thankful he was to have a best friend like Bonnalie in his life.

Bonnalie was on Dahmen's bag for his lone PGA Tour win at the 2021 Corales Puntacana Championship. Currently ranked 172nd in the Official World Golf Ranking, Dahmen started off the 2025 season with three top-10 finishes in his first 11 starts but has struggled in recent months. After a heartbreaking defeat at this year's Corales Puntacana Championship in late April, Dahmen has missed the cut in seven of his last eight events.

Dahmen joins a sizeable list of well-known PGA Tour players to make a change to their bags in recent weeks, with Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, and Tom Kim also bringing in new caddies.

It's unknown at this time who will take over for Bonnalie as Dahmen's new caddie, or if Bonnalie will be jumping on the bag for another PGA Tour player.
