Last night it appeared as though the 2026 Masters might be effectively over as Rory McIlroy took an historic six-stroke lead. But a rough outing on Saturday amid several golfers surging to the top has turned the Masters into a dead heat.
McIlroy shot a 73 after a pretty rough start to his back nine that included a double-bogey on the 11th hole. Meanwhile, Cameron Young surged with a score of 65 that lifted him from seventh all the way to a share of the clubhouse lead.
Young was far from the only golfer who had an explosive third round. Scottie Scheffler rebounded from Friday's 74 with a 65 of his own, while Patrick Cantlay and Russell Henley both enjoyed six birdies apiece without a bogey.
Heading into the final round of the Masters, there are now 20 golfers within seven strokes of the lead. If any of them score a 65 like McIlroy, Young or Scheffler have this tournament, the green jacket could be theirs.
Here are the pairings and tee times for the top 20 golfers in final round of the Masters (all times ET):
Of the top six - Day, Rose, Burns, Lowry, Young and McIlroy - only McIlroy has previously won the Masters, finally achieving it in 2025.
Young's best finish in the Masters was a tie for seventh in 2023. Lowry's best was a tie for third in 2022. Burns' best finish was a tie for 29th in 2023.
