World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler claimed his third major championship on Sunday, finishing with an 11-under score at the 2025 PGA Championship.

With an even-par 71 at Quail Hollow, Scheffler finished the week with a five-shot advantage over a T2 crowd featuring Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English and Davis Riley.

This victory in Charlotte, North Carolina marks Scheffler's 15th PGA Tour win and his first major championship away from Augusta National.

"Just a lot of happiness," Scheffler said on the 18th green at Quail Hollow. "I think, you know, just maybe thankful as well. It was a long week. I felt like this was as hard as I battled for a tournament in my career. This was a pretty challenging week."

Scheffler furthered his legacy with some impressive PGA Tour history in this major championship win.

This PGA Championship win marks Scheffler"s second victory in two consecutive starts. Earlier this month, the 28-year-old golfer won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson by 8 strokes.

Scheffler now joins Tiger Woods as the only other player to win consecutive starts by five or more strokes since 1985.

This wasn't Scheffler's only historic accomplishment this weekend.

"With three major championship titles in 23 starts (2022, 2024 Masters Tournament; 2025 PGA Championship), Scottie Scheffler becomes the 15th player to win the Masters and PGA Championship during a career," the tour wrote on X.

"Scheffler joins Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the only players during the modern era to win 15 times on the PGA TOUR, including three majors, before the age of 29."

Scheffler's five-stroke win on Sunday marked the largest margin of victory since Rory McIlroy won the PGA Championship by eight strokes in 2012.

"Scottie Scheffler wins the PGA Championship by five strokes over Harris English, Davis Riley and Bryson DeChambeau. It is the largest margin of victory at the event since Rory McIlroy won by eight in 2012," the tour added.

"Scheffler's margin of victory in majors: 2022 Masters (3), 2024 Masters (4), 2025 PGA Championship (5). He becomes the first player to win his first three majors by three or more strokes since Seve Ballesteros (1979 Open Championship/3, 1980 Masters/4, 1983 Masters/4)."

Scheffler will look to continue his impressive streak at the Charles Schwab Challenge this week.
