The Truist Championship is entering its final round on Sunday as some of the world's best players prepare for next week's second major of the season, the PGA Championship.
Unfortunately for World No. 31 Sahith Theegala, his weekend was cut short due to an injury issue before Sunday's final round.
Theegala withdrew from the event early Sunday morning, citing a neck injury.
The PGA Tour took to social media to share this announcement before Round 4, where Theegala was scheduled to tee off alongside Garrick Higgo in the first group at 8 a.m. ET.
"Sahith Theegala WD before the final round of the Truist Championship (neck injury)," the tour wrote on X.
Theegala carded a 1-under 69 on Thursday, followed by a 1-over 71 on Friday at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. The 27-year-old golfer slid all the way down to last place on Saturday with an 8-over 78 in the $20 million, no-cut signature event.

Theegala is the third player to withdraw from this weekend's event. Justin Rose (illness) and Michael Kim (back) withdrew on Friday.
It's currently uncertain if Theegala's neck injury will affect his status for this coming week's PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. The one-time PGA Tour winner finished T12 in last year's major event at Valhalla Golf Club.
Shane Lowry and Sepp Straka lead the Truist Championship field at 14-under heading into Sunday's final round. Kieth Mitchell and Justin Thomas are three shots back at 11-under, and Hideki Matsuyama sits at 10-under.
The final pairing of Lowry and Straka will tee off at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday.
