Scottie Scheffler is once again a major champion with this weekend's strong performance at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

The 29-year-old added a third point to his career Grand Slam crown with the four-stroke victory in Northern Ireland which drew the attention of fellow golf great Phil Mickelson from rival LIV.

"Congrats to Scottie Scheffler on another impressive victory," Lefty said. "So many irons shots were amazing and what a putting performance. "

Fans were quick to react to Phil's compliments on X.

"Phil is always the first step up and give others their flowers and very humble when getting his own. Class act, as always," a user replied.

"Now you and he both need a US Open for the career grand slam," another pointed out.

"This did not age well lmao," a fan laughed at Mickelson's Ryder Cup take from back in March.

"Phil got some explaining to do about that tweet " another person cried.

"4 under at 55 pretty darn impressive today too," another user applauded.

"When his putter is working, he's the best," another fan said.

"Easy like Sunday morning ☀️⛳️" an account commented.

"Outstanding Performance!"

It's hard to argue that Scheffler's not the best thing going right now in the sport of golf. The way and ease with which he's been racking up wins is almost reminiscent of Tiger at times — and it doesn't look like he's stopping anytime soon.
