Ryder Cup: Novak Djokovic mimes Cristiano Ronaldo during All-Star Match

The 2023 Ryder Cup festivities are underway in Rome, and suffice it to say, participants in the traditionally biennial event are having a heck of a time.

At least, that's what can be said about Novak Djokovic. The Serbian has hit the links at Marco Simone Golf Course for this week's All-Star Match and has brought some of the magic from his latest U.S. Open win with him. He made himself quite GIF-able when his shot on the 16th hole landed in a very favorable spot on the green.

To celebrate the shot, Djokovic evoked another international superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, and snagged the international footballer's signature celly for the moment.

The excitement of the All-Star Match should serve as a nice appetizer before the long-awaited team match kicks off on Friday between Team Europe and Team USA.

The United States hasn't won the Ryder Cup on European soil in 30 years, and there has been a lot of intrigue leading up to the event with regard to some players who are captain's picks for the team. They will be facing a tough European side, led by Rory McIlroy, which is looking for redemption after being between by the U.S. at Whistling Straits during the last competition.

Nevertheless, Team USA is still the -120 favorite at DraftKings to lift the trophy when the weekend is over.

The 44th Ryder Cup tees off on Friday, Sept. 29.
