Rory McIlroy got his long-awaited first Green Jacket at the 2025 Masters to become just the sixth golfer to win the Career Grand Slam. This year, he wants to join another exclusive club at Augusta by becoming the 19th player to win the most prestigious tournament on the PGA Tour multiple times.

One of his biggest obstacles will be World No. 1 and two-time Masters champ Scottie Scheffler. Despite the 29 year old’s sluggish start to the 2026 PGA Tour season – featuring two finishes out of the top-20 – he will be playing in his first tournament since the birth of his second son. Scheffler’s winning pedigree and the new dad energy that sometimes gives athletes a boost make him impossible to count out.
