Tiger Woods made an appearance at the Hero World Challenge in Albany this week, though not as a participant.

Woods, who has lifted the trophy five times over his career, serves as host for the event.

His ongoing injury issues have kept him out of action this season, something that has frustrated fans looking forward to seeing him back on the course.

Even though he was not competing at Albany this time around, Woods still managed to create a memorable moment for those in attendance.

Tiger Woods praised for fan interactions at the Hero World Challenge

Woods took time to sign autographs and chat with fans during his stay in The Bahamas, earning praise from a viewer on X who posted: “Now that was a class act by an awesome champion golfer.”

Others shared similar feelings, with one writing: “King of Sport. Period,” while another simply added: “We love you Tiger.”

Another added: “Lucky fans. Still waiting for my chance even to see TW in person,” and a fifth fan said: “Still going.”

Other viewers echoed those thoughts, adding comments like: “Awesome to see,” and “Always better with Tiger.”

Woods has not played much in recent years, spending more time making appearances than competing, after another season interrupted by injury.

In 2025 alone, he underwent back and Achilles tendon surgeries. And there is still no clear timeline for his return.

But one thing is obvious – golf feels bigger when he is involved, even if it is just as a presence off the course.

Even during his long spells away from competition, Woods remains a huge favourite with fans of every generation. His achievements over the years have ensured that status will not change anytime soon.

When he does return, he could play on the PGA Tour Champions or perhaps look for one last win on the PGA Tour.

If he does secure another victory, it would take him past Sam Snead for sole possession of first place on the all-time wins list – both are currently tied at 82 wins each.
