Rory McIlroy finally did it. After 11 years, he gets another major victory, and he completes the career Grand Slam by winning the Masters on Sunday.

It took a sudden-death playoff with Justin Rose to get it done, but McIlroy's emotion was evident after the final shot went into the hole.

It marked the first playoff at the Masters since 2017, and it ended with McIlroy getting the victory. Right after the final hole, McIlroy had a short but simple message: "I gotta go get a green jacket."

McIlroy also became the first golfer to complete the Grand Slam since the legendary Tiger Woods did so in 2000 after winning The Open.

After the victory, Woods took to X to send a heartfelt congratulatory message to McIlroy.

"Welcome to the club @McIlroyRory. Completing the grand slam at Augusta is something special. Your determination during this round, and this entire journey has shown through, and now you’re a part of history. Proud of you!"

McIlroy also mentioned Woods after winning The Masters on Sunday: "Watching Tiger Woods do this when I was a kid was my inspiration," McIlroy said. "My dreams have been made today.”

McIlroy finished 11-under at The Masters this time around to get his first-ever green jacket.

It was a special moment for McIlroy, and now he joins golf history in an exclusive club.

He became the sixth golfer to complete the Grand Slam, and the list includes Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan and Gene Sarazen.

Woods missed The Masters as he recovers from a ruptured Achilles, but he wasted no time giving a shoutout to McIlroy.
