Tiger Woods will likely miss the Masters with another injury.
The former World No.1 posted on his X account that as he began to ramp up his training and practice at home, he felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured.
On Tuesday morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon.
"The surgery went smoothly, and we expect a full recovery," added Dr. Stucken.
According to the social media post, Woods is back home now and plans to focus on his recovery and rehab.
The 15-time major winner hasn’t played on the PGA Tour since missing the cut at The Open Championship, with the last time he made the cut being a 60th at last year’s Masters.

Woods was scheduled to play in the Genesis Invitational, but he withdrew due to his mother's death.
Woods’s career has involved numerous injuries and surgeries, starting in 1994, when he was still an amateur. Lastly, in 2024, he underwent a successful microdecompression surgery in his lower back.
1994: Two benign tumors and scar tissue are removed from Woods's left knee.
2002: Fluid removed from inside and outside the ACL of his left knee. Benign cysts also removed.
2008: In April, after the Masters, he has surgery on his left knee to repair cartilage damage. In May, he was told by doctors that he had two stress fractures in his left tibia.
In June, he famously won the U.S. Open on that injured leg before undergoing surgery to repair his left ACL using a tendon from his right thigh.
2014: After withdrawing from two events in the Florida Swing, has surgery on a pinched nerve in his back
2015: In September, Woods had two microdiscectomy surgeries on his back to remove bone fragments that were pinching a nerve.
In October, he has another back surgery.
2017: In April, he has a spinal fusion, his fourth back surgery.
2019: In August, he had arthroscopic surgery to what he described as minor cartilage damage in his left knee. It's his fifth procedure on the knee.
2021: In January, he undergoes another back surgery, again a microdiscectomy to remove a bone fragment that was pinching a nerve.
In February, Woods has a car accident in California. His right leg and ankle are severely broken, requiring emergency surgery including inserting a rod into his tibia and screws and pins into his foot and ankle.
2023: In April, two weeks after the Masters, Woods had ankle surgery to address issues associated with a talus fracture that occurred during the 2021 car crash.
2024: In September, Woods announced he underwent a successful microdecrompression surgery in his lower back to alleviate spasms which hindered him in 2024. This marks Woods' sixth back procedure and his first since early 2021 when he had a microdisectomy to remove a pressurized disc fragment that caused nerve pain.
"Earlier this morning Tiger underwent microdecompression surgery of the lumbar spine for nerve impingement in the lower back," Woods released in a statement. "Dr. Sheeraz Qureshi of Hospital of Special Surgery in West Palm Beach performed the surgery and deemed it successful.
"The surgery went smoothly, and I'm hopeful this will help alleviate the back spasms and pain I was experiencing throughout most of the 2024 season," Woods said. "I look forward to tackling this rehab and preparing myself to get back to normal life activities, including golf."
