Tiger Woods Teases 'Sunday Red'
Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

While everyone is watching the Waste Management Open this afternoon, Tiger Woods took to Twitter/X to give a sneak peek at what the next chapter in his career is going to look like. Woods released a rather mysterious photo of himself featuring his trademark Sunday Red gear. However, there were a few things instantly noted by the press upon reveal.

Tiger Woods' New Chapter Likely to Include Gear and Apparel

It did not take long for the internet sleuths to very quickly point out Woods' glove. When zoomed in, the glove appears to feature his new "Tiger" logo—implying that the new chapter for the 15-time major champion will include a return to equipment manufacturing also. Woods' previous sponsor Nike backed out of manufacturing golf gear nearly a decade ago. It is rumored that the new chapter will now be with his long-time equipment partner TaylorMade. However, we likely will not officially know of their involment until the announcement is made.

Woods will make his first points start in almost a year this upcoming week at The Genesis Invitational. As I reported earlier, I believed this is where we were going to get our answer on what the next chapter is for Woods. It appears that we will be getting just that on Monday when the week's festivities begin.

One thing you can expect is that the merchandise will fly off the shelves no matter who the manufacturer will be. That is a given for anything Tiger is involved in, even in his elder state on the Tour. Woods simply drives the game and gets people going.

As for the golf itself, that seems to be more of a mystery at this point. It has been several weeks since his last appearance at the PNC playing alongside his son Charlie. We don't know how Woods is going to play.  Either way, all eyes will be on Tiger at Riviera during the Genesis. Mainly in hopes of seeing "Sunday Red."
