The 2026 Masters is officially underway, with several stories drawing a lot of attention.

With Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson out of the tournament, other stars arrived at Augusta National Golf Club for the first major of the year. Former British Open champion Mark Calcavecchia learned how serious the club is about their rules.

He broke the no-phone rule, which prompted authorities to remove him from the grounds earlier this week.

Fans learned that a TikTok influencer didn’t get the same treatment after recording plenty of material inside the club.

Rylee Arnold Explains Why The Masters Allowed Her To Use Her Phone

TikTok influencer and popular pro on Dancing With The Stars, Rylee Arnold, shared a series of videos from Augusta National on her TikTok account. She attended the event on Wednesday with her boyfriend, Walker Lyons.

Despite the strict, zero-tolerance policy against the use of cellphones, tablets and laptops on the grounds of the club, Arnold didn’t have any issues. Cameras are allowed during the practice rounds, but they are a no-no once the tournament begins.

Arnold clarified on Instagram why the Masters didn’t punish her for having her phone and actually recording around the club.

“For all you asking about me having my phone today at the masters, I came with Meta to capture content here and came as a videographer!! Excited to go [Thursday] and watch all the players and will not have my phone for that :)”

Social media became hugely important for the entire world. It is not the first time an influencer or celebrity has attended the event. However, it is hard to see how a former major champion got the boot over the phone policy, while a 20-year-old was allowed to film around for her TikTok profile.
