Over the many years the PGA Tour has been established, the sport of golf has seen some of the most prominent names in attendance and as sponsors. Some names are seen like FedEx, Charles Schwab, Nike, Rolex, and now even Jordan. Six time Tour winner Tony Finau has now secured a sponsorship from the Jordan brand, and will be incorporating the court to the course. Sharing the love for the sport of basketball during his high school days, Finau has always had a passion for the brand, sometimes sporting Jordan 1 Low G’s. Now, after his departure from Nike a home is found still within the same umbrella in Jordan.
New Look For Season
Kicking the 2026 Tour season off at the Sony Open in Hawaii, Finau will also be showcasing a new sponsor. The big name in Jordan will be taking care of the shoe lineup for some time to come, a big step in a new direction for Finau.
“Excited to be part of the @jumpman23 family. Let’s work,” Finau posted Thursday on Instagram.
This is not just an opportunity to sport the prestigious Jordan Brand for the Finau camp, but a chance to also embark on a new journey. Bringing a childhood apparel favorite to the forefront of his career, is second to none.
“I can’t wait to join the Jordan Brand as it expands further into golf,” says Finau. “There’s so much we can do for the game.”
Although his current showing at the Sony Open to start the 2026 season, hasn’t been the start he may have foreseen. Tied for 110th as it stood Friday, Finau has been cut with a lackluster performance to start the season to say the least. Although sure to be walking away with some high points like showcasing a strong eagle shot in the first round, there is room for improvement.
2026 In Style
As the 2026 season continues, the next expected showing for the new Jordan sponsor will be at the American Express tournament. The last win for Finau came in 2023 during the Mexico Open at Vidanta, a period he will be looking to overcome this season by all means.
With a career earning a total of $45,636,964 according to reports, the addition of the Jordan brand will only now open more lucrative lanes off the course like commercials and so forth. With a lifelong dream now secured, it should add an extra motivation factor to the season of Finau.
