Two Big Schools Mentioned In Recruitment Of Charlie Woods

Where will Charlie Woods play college golf? That question is about to be a popular one in the sports world.

Back in May, the son of Tiger Woods won the Team TaylorMade Invitational in Bowling Green, Florida. Earlier this month, the American Junior Golf Association announced that Charlie made the first team All-America list for 2025. That's not a huge surprise considering the Benjamin School product is No. 9 in the latest AJGA rankings.

As for the talented golfer's future, Benjamin head coach Toby Harbeck said Woods hasn't said much. Of course, the 15-time major champion's son will draw plenty of interest from colleges around the country.

"Charlie’s very mum-mum about where he’s looking and what he’s thinking," Harbeck said, via Golfweek. "There’s a lot of people that want him. It’s just where he feels most comfortable. He’s visited a couple schools. We’ll see."

Which schools want Charlie Woods?

Although there's no guarantee Woods will remain in the Sunshine State, it sounds like Florida State has interest in him.

Florida State golf coach Trey Jones was seen talking to Woods' father at El Campeón Golf Course last Saturday. Is that something or nothing? Only time will tell.

"The Seminoles are a program of stature in collegiate men's golf. Florida State finished as national runner-up in 2024, recently landed a commitment from Miles Russell, the No. 1 golfer in the latest AJGA rankings, and was No. 11 in Golfweek's 2025-26 preseason poll," Alexander Peterman wrote. "Securing Woods' commitment would be a blockbuster move for Florida State."

Golf fans also can't overlook Stanford, his father's alma mater. In 1995, Tiger Woods was voted Pac-10 Player of the Year and earned All-American honors.
