Simone Biles has done well to erase the bitter memory of her shocking exit at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. With so much riding on her shoulders, Biles made the unexpected decision to bow out right in the middle of the competition because of mental health issues.
After taking time away from the sport, Biles mustered up the courage to return and work her way back to the top. All the effort she put in behind the scenes was rewarded as she came back to dominate the 2024 Paris Olympics in historic fashion.
After winning four more medals in Paris -- three gold and one silver -- Biles cemented her legacy as the most decorated gymnast in history by bringing up her tally to 11 Olympic medals.
Last year, during the build-up to the Summer Games, Powerade released an epic ad that provided an incredible peek at how Biles overcame the immense struggles she had to go through. The one-minute forty-second video had Biles jumping off a vault as she looked back at her rise to glory.
Aptly entitled "The Vault," the commercial is enough to give any sports fan the chills.
In fact, the ad was so good that it has been recognized by The Webby Awards, which is a renowned award-giving body that honors excellence on the internet. The Webby Awards announced its full list of winners on Tuesday, which included Biles' Powerade commercial.

"The Vault," which was produced by world-renowned advertising agency Ogilvy New York, was announced as the Webby Winner for Advertising, Media & PR Best Video Editing 2025.
According to The Webby Awards' website, the best video editing title is given to a piece of work that is able to exhibit the "technical ability, creative execution, and adherence to the best practices" of the craft of editing.
While Biles' latest honor would not have been possible had it not been for the incredible technical work by the folks from Ogilvy, there's also no denying that Biles' awe-inspiring grit and determination deserve a ton of credit as well.
Despite her unprecedented success, Biles has not forgotten the journey she took to get back to the top. This includes having to go through the pain and the anguish of dealing with her mental health problems -- and rising above them all to return to the pinnacle of the sport.
