Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles posted an emotional message on Instagram Friday, sharing her deep gratitude following a recent trip to New York.
“Is this real life?” she wrote. “I promise this will never get old and sharing this with my family was incredible. So many surprises. Love my Nike fam. Grateful.”
The post came with photos showing Chiles at a Nike event, a book signing and memorable moments behind the scenes of her visit to the city.
One of the standout images featured her in front of a large display of herself from the Olympics—a full-circle moment for the 24-year-old gymnast.
The timing of the post comes after a busy and emotional season for Chiles. She appeared at the espnW Summit in New York , where she spoke about one of the most powerful moments of her career—standing on the all-Black gymnastics podium at the 2024 Paris Olympics with Simone Biles and Rebeca Andrade.
That Olympic memory wasn’t without heartbreak. Chiles was later stripped of her bronze medal in a controversial ruling following an appeal by another team. Despite this, she has continued to stay strong, leaning on her faith, her family and the community around her.
After returning to UCLA following a year off to train for Paris, Chiles helped lead the Bruins to a Big Ten title and a second-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She also won an individual national title on the uneven bars, further adding to her already impressive resume.
Now, with the college season behind her and her New York trip complete, Chiles appears to be taking a moment to reflect.
Whether it’s on the mat or behind the scenes, Jordan Chiles continues to send a strong message: she’s here to stay and she’s grateful every step of the way.
