Simone Biles has landed a new job, and it's not in the gymnastics world.
Biles, who won three of her seven career gold medals at the Paris Olympics past summer, is joining Religion of Sports as a creative partner and board member, according to a report from Axios. Religion of Sports (ROS) is the production company co-founded by NFL legends Tom Brady and Michael Strahan and filmmaker Gotham Chopra.
"If you asked me what I wanted to do when I was younger, I always wanted to be a nurse to help people," Biles told Axios. "And obviously, that's off of the table now, but I still feel like we can help people in our communities through storytelling."
Biles has worked with ROS before, most recently to help produce her Simone Biles Rising documentary on Netflix in 2024. She was also featured in Religion of Sports' Simone vs. Herself series in 2021.
In her new role, she'll be able to produce content and provide opportunities for more athletes to share their experiences.
"I think there are really critical conversations that need to be heard around sports, through mental health and athletes — just even in the Black and brown community," Biles said, adding that "there's no better company that I believe in."
It will be interesting to see what Biles pursues in her new position. She hinted that her experience in a more individualized sport, as opposed to Brady and Strahan who played football, could help provide a unique perspective on future projects.
Brady officially welcomed Biles to the ROS family this morning on his Instagram story.
"We’re beyond excited to welcome the legendary @simonebiles to the Religion of Sports Board of Directors!" Religion of Sports said in its own Instagram post. "After years of collaborating on Simone Biles Rising and Simone vs Herself, she is officially a part of our team—bringing her passion, perspective, and trailblazing spirit to the heart of what we do. Together, we’ll continue telling powerful stories that inspire the world. Let’s go!"
While this new work opportunity awaits her, Biles is currently on her honeymoon with husband Jonathan Owens, a safety for the NFL's Chicago Bears.
