Simone Biles' Met Gala Appearance Sparks Perfect Reaction From USA Gymnastics

Simone Biles is the crown jewel of USA Gymnastics.

This past summer, the 28-year-old gymnast furthered her legacy as one of the greatest Olympians of all time — notching four more Olympic medals as a member of Team USA.

Biles took home gold in the all-around, vault and team events. She also finished second in the floor exercise, bringing her all-time Olympic medal count to a record-breaking figure of 11.

Biles made an appearance at the Met Gala in New York City on Monday night. The superstar gymnast wore a bright blue dress with silver accents — recalling a similar look she rocked in Paris this past summer.

In response to her Met Gala outfit, USA Gymnastics posted a photo of Biles wearing a blue Team USA jacket and her four most-recent Olympic medals.

Biles shared her plans to attend Monday night's Met Gala during a recent interview.

"Oh my gosh, I am really excited," Biles said. "Obviously no training goes into the Met, so I'm happy about that.

"It's really just getting in fitting, seeing what you're going to wear, and then going from there. ... It will be tailored, it will be a custom dress, I'm going back and forth between two right now. Both custom looks for me, so I'm excited."

Biles was accompanied at the Met Gala by her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. The couple is celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary on Tuesday.

"It is date night it'll be the day before our wedding, second wedding anniversary as well," Biles continued. "So it'll be really exciting to celebrate at the Met with him."
