Undefeated 3-year-old Nysos has been taken out of training due to a "minor" issue, Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert told the Thoroughbred Daily News on Tuesday.

The son of Nyquist was scratched from the March 3 San Felipe Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita, and has not worked since Feb. 25.

“(Nysos) will be out of training,” Baffert told TDN. “Tack-walking for 30 days. No plans.”

Owned by Baoma Corp., Nysos won the G3 Bob Hope and G3 Robert Lewis Stakes before Baffert entered him in the San Felipe. However, due to Baffert's ban from participation in racing at Churchill Downs, Inc. properties, Nysos was not eligible for consideration for the 2024 Kentucky Derby.
