With identical 37-1 longshots taking races six and seven, there is a $1-dollar Pick 6 carryover of $56,500 into Saturday at Santa Anita in Arcadia, Calif. There were 13 tickets with five winners, each returning a consolation payoff of $1,862.60.

In what is very likely the first such occurrence in Santa Anita’s long and storied history dating back to December 25, 1934, consecutive winners Aspirational in race six and Order and Law in race seven, both paid the same exact $77.80 to win on a $2 ticket.

With first post time for a nine-race card on Saturday at 12:30 p.m., the Pick 6 will cover races four through nine. Approximate post time for race four is at 2 p.m. PT and average field size in Saturday’s Pick 6 sequence stands at nine runners per race.

Friday’s winning numbers and $2 win mutuels were as follows: R4, #1 ($4.60); R5, #2 ($8.00); R6, #1 ($77.80); R7, #3 ($77.80); R8, #4 ($3.60) and R9, #3 ($14.20).
