Livvy Dunne has been in Omaha for a few days now, cheering on LSU during Saturday’s opening College World Series game against Arkansas. Now, somebody special is accompanying her on Monday night to see the Tigers face off vs. UCLA. And it’s somebody the people of Baton Rouge are quite big fans of.
Paul Skenes has made it to the epicenter of college baseball. The couple was spotted inside Rocco’s alongside Raising Cane’s owner Todd Graves. A photo was snapped by SEC Network’s Peter Burns, no Jello Shots in sight, for now.

Usually, Skenes would not be able to travel during the summer. Playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates takes top priority, even on days he does not pitch. However, Monday is an off-day for the team after wrapping up a four-game series against the Chicago Cubs on the northside. Tuesday is Pittsburgh’s next game up in Detroit for three games vs. the Tigers.
Last time out, Dunne wore a custom jersey. One side had the traditional LSU purple jersey, while the back had Skenes’ last name in a black Pirates uniform. Dunne even took time to FaceTime Skenes, who was still in Chicago, after the LSU win alongside other fans in attendance.
Dunne spent time in Omaha when Skenes was helping LSU win a national championship back in 2023. As he did throughout the entire season, Skenes was dominant during his College World Series performances. Tennessee and Wake Forest were on the receiving end of 15.2 innings pitched, giving up seven hits and two earned runs (both against the Vols), while striking out 21 batters and walking just two.
Of course, the journey ended with the entire LSU team rushing onto the field for celebration. A program known for winning national championships, Skenes was right in the middle of it all. Despite only spending one season with the Tigers, he is certainly one of the best players to ever come through.
This visit will be a little more fun for them, though. Skenes would not have been seen at Rocco’s pregame just a couple of years ago, having business to attend to on the field. He, alongside Dunne, might be a little more relaxed this go-round, watching from the stands. Or maybe they are similar to other LSU fans in attendance — living and dying with every pitch.
