
Carlos Estevez landed on the injured list, days after he suffered a foot injury during the Royals’ first series of the year against the Braves. It marked one of several injury-related notes from the first day of April.
The Royals placed closer Carlos Estevez on the 15-day IL with a foot contusion.
Estevez sustained the injury during the Royals’ opening weekend series versus the Braves. It’s backdated to March 29.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told the media on the 1st that pitcher Blake Snell will likely face hitters after the team returns from an upcoming road trip.
Snell, who’s been on the IL since the start of the season, is on track to come back by the end of May.
Additionally, the Dodgers transferred Gavin Stone to the 60-day IL, so the team could add newcomer Jake Eder to the 40-man roster.
The Orioles transferred infielder Jordan Westburg to the 60-day IL.
It means that Westburg won’t be eligible to come off until at least the end of May.
Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday went 2-3 with a walk for Triple-A Norfolk. Just like on March 31, Holliday did not play the entire game and was removed late.
Guardians outfielder George Valera went 0-4 with Triple-A Columbus.
Brewers outfielder Steward Berroa went 0-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
Diamondbacks catcher Adrian Del Castillo went 0-4 with two strikeouts for Triple-A Reno.
Blaine Crim went 1-3 for Triple-A Albuquerque. In that same game, Rockies outfielder Zac Veen went 0-3 as part of his own rehab assignments.
Chase DeLauter did not play on April 1 after he sustained a left foot contusion. X-rays on the foot came back negative for DeLauter, who was scheduled for a day off on the 1st.
The Rockies activated Tyler Freeman from the 10-day IL.
