2027 Dodgers Schedule: Opening Day Game Vs. Braves

Traditional Opening Day of the 2027 MLB season is scheduled to take place on March 25, which will mark the earliest date in the league’s history when excluding special season-openers and international matchups.

The 2027 MLB schedule is tentatively set to begin with Opening Night game (matchup to be determined) that will stream exclusively on Netflix on Wednesday, March 24. That’s due to be followed by a slate of 14 games played on traditional Opening Day, March 5.

NBC will begin the network’s 2027 coverage with a primetime contest to be determined on Opening Day.

That of course is all subject to MLB and the Players Association (MLBPA) agreeing to a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) in time to avoid schedule changes.

2027 Dodgers schedule highlights

The 2027 Los Angeles Dodgers schedule starts with an Opening Day game against the Atlanta Braves at Dodger Stadium on March 25 to kick off the team’s 70th season in L.A. If it holds, next year will mark a second consecutive season in which the Dodgers play at home after back-to-back international openers.

The Dodgers’ schedule for next season includes a quirk in that March 26 is an off day. That’s followed by the resumption of their series against the Braves with games on March 27 and 28.

MLB’s balanced schedule remains in effect for the fifth season in a row, which means the Dodgers will play all 29 opposing teams again in 2027, totaling 46 Interleague games. That’s an increase from teams playing 20 Interleague games in the seasons prior to 2023.

MLB’s balanced schedule format also results in the Dodgers once again only making two visits to opposing National League West cities and a total of 52 divisional games, which is down from 76.

In a break from what unfolded in 2025 and 2026, the Dodgers face an early run of NL West opponents as they will see the Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres for a total of 12 consecutive games from April 1-15.

That includes playing the Rockies at Dodger Stadium on Jackie Robinson Day (April 15).

The Dodgers also are playing at Dodger Stadium for a several holiday dates in 2027, including Easter Sunday (Braves; March 28), Mother’s Day (San Francisco Giants; May 9), Father’s Day (Miami Marlins; June 20) and Independence Day (New York Mets; July 4). They are on the road for Memorial Day (Milwaukee Brewers; May 31) and Labor Day (Braves; Sept. 6).

The Dodgers’ first time playing the Giants during the 2027 season is a four-game series at Dodger from May 6-9. The Padres are on the 2027 Dodgers schedule for the first time from April 9-11, for a three-game series at Petco Park.

Interleague play for the Dodgers in 2027 starts against the Chicago White Sox, at Dodger Stadium from April 26-28. Next season has the Dodgers facing their 2024 and 2025 World Series opponents in the second half, when the New York Yankees (Aug. 27-29) and Toronto Blue Jays (Sept. 13-15) visit Dodger Stadium.

The annual Freeway Series begins with three games in Anaheim from May 28-30. The Dodgers then host the Angels from July 16-18, to start a homestand after the 2027 MLB All-Star Game.

The Dodgers are scheduled to end the 2027 regular season on the road, with three games each against the Rockies and Diamondbacks. The last day of the 2027 MLB regular season is Sunday, Sept. 26.

The Chicago Cubs are hosting the 2027 All-Star Game at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, July 13.
