Bo Bichette and the Toronto Blue Jays have already parted ways, and the separation was made official when he inked a three-year, $126 million contract with the New York Mets.
While he's moving to a different club in another league, Bichette should be able to find some help in adjusting to his new surroundings. After all, he's now reunited with a former Blue Jays teammate in the form of veteran infielder Marcus Semien.
Bichette and Semien were briefly teammates in Toronto, with Semien spending a season in 2021 north of the border. But in that short time, he seemingly had a tremendous impact on Bichette. So much so that Bichette was visibly emotional during a 2021 press conference when he spoke about what it's like to play alongside Semien.
You can watch a clip of that emotional moment here:

The Blue Jays finished just fourth in the American League East standings in 2021 and missed the postseason, but Bichette and Semien managed to stand out.
They both earned All-Star nods that season. Semien, however, left in the offseason, declining a qualifying offer from Toronto before signing a seven-year deal with the Texas Rangers.
In November 2025, the Rangers sent him to the Mets for Brandon Nimmo.
As for Bichette, he'll be starting a new chapter in his baseball career, as he continues his chase for an elusive World Series crown that he nearly won in 2025 with the Blue Jays.
