Aaron Judge and Anthony Volpe Steal Hearts With Sweet Subway Series Moment

The Bronx had a few special VIPs roaming the field before Sunday night’s Subway Series finale. New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson and his kids made an appearance. Yankees legends Andy Pettitte and David Cone were also wandering around.

But the two who stopped everything in their tracks, thanks to a personal escort from Anthony Volpe and Aaron Judge, were Caden and Everett Cole—the young sons of injured Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole.

In an adorable video posted to social media by the team, the two youngsters, dressed in matching khaki shorts, navy-and-white polo shirts, and Yankees caps, walked out from the Yankees dugout behind the batting cage to visit with the two Yankees stars.

Caden came out first with Volpe. As the almost five-year-old approached, Judge dropped to one knee, bending his 6-foot-7 frame down to look the youngster in the eye.

“You bring us luck,” Volpe told the older Cole brother.

“Every time you come here, we hit a home run,” Judge added.

Then Volpe pointed out that Everett, the younger brother, was still hanging out near the dugout. You can hear their father off-camera as Everett wandered over to join them. The brothers chatted with Judge for a few minutes before the Yankees captain gave them fist bumps—or “knucks,” as he called them—and headed back to work.

Cole has been spending more time around the team now that his arm is out of a brace. He will miss the entire 2025 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March. Cole told reporters earlier this season that the one benefit of being sidelined is spending more time with his sons.
