Aaron Judge did not get to celebrate his 33rd birthday on the field. The New York Yankees were rained out on Saturday, but their captain was caught stepping out with two television stars on his special day.

The 6-foot-7 Judge posted a picture of himself walking his two dachshunds, Gus and Penny, on Instagram on Saturday.

He captioned it “April Showers.”

It was a rare glimpse of Judge’s personal life, but it’s one he’s shown before.

Last summer, the Judge family—Aaron, his wife Samantha, Penny, and Gus—made their animated debut on Nickelodeon's "Rubble & Crew," a spin-off of "PAW Patrol." In the episode titled "The Crew Builds a Ballpark," Judge, unable to attend a home run derby, teams up with Rubble and his crew to construct a new stadium in Builder's Cove. Samantha lent her voice to Penny, adding a personal touch to the animated adventure .

Judge has been a proud dog dad for years.

In interviews, he often mentions how Penny and Gus accompany him everywhere, from road trips to home games. They've even had their moments on the Yankee Stadium field, running around with Judge or former Yankee first baseman Anthony Rizzo’s dachshund Kevin.

While the rain may have postponed the Yankees' game, it gave Judge, who became a first-time dad last January to daughter Nora Rose, a day off to celebrate. On

Sunday, Judge hit his first home run as a 33-year-old when the Yankees swept the Toronto Blue Jays. Judge will try to continue their two-game winning streak and his historic start to the 2025 season on Monday night in Baltimore’s Camden Yards, against the Orioles.
