Aaron Judge's new contract makes him richer than many other famous 'Judges'

Aaron Judge's new mega-contract extension made MLB history and makes him richer than many other famous "Judges." Judge Judy still has him beat though.

The 2022 AL MVP agreed to a nine-year, $360 million deal on Wednesday to remain with the New York Yankees. Judge reportedly turned down "higher offers" elsewhere to stay in pinstripes, so if he had elected to leave, perhaps he could've surpassed Judge Judy's annual salary.

The four-time All-Star's contract isn't finalized yet due to a pending physical, but if it proceeds without issue, it will represent the highest average annual value for a position player in MLB history. Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout has the current record at $35.5 million per year.

Judge led the league in home runs (an AL-record 62), RBI (131), runs scored (133), walks (111), on-base percentage (.425), slugging percentage (.686), OPS (1.111) and total bases (391), among other categories, in 2022 on his way to his first MVP Award. He became the first Yankees player to win the AL MVP since Alex Rodriguez in 2007.
