After their 7-4 victory over them on Monday, the Los Angeles Angels will take on the Athletics once again on Tuesday and aim to secure the series victory.
Despite going through their rough patches, particularly throughout April and at the end of May, the Angels have seemingly found their groove. Though they have a 31-34 record, they are just five games behind the Houston Astros for the lead in the AL West. Additionally, they are just two games behind the Seattle Mariners for second place in the division.
Los Angeles is also 5-3 in the month of June, and they will look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday. Ahead of the game, the Angels announced a roster move just days after making a trade to bolster the roster.
The Angels are getting things on track, but they are still making changes to the roster to capitalize on their momentum, and their latest move suggests this will not change.
On June 8, the Angels announced on X that they acquired OF Lamonte Wade Jr. from the San Francisco Giants. Before Tuesday's game, the team announced that Wade Jr. has reported to the Major League roster. In a corresponding move, the Angels placed Chris Taylor on the 10-day injured list due to a left hand fracture.

•LaMonte Wade Jr. (#35) reports to the active Major League roster
•Placed Chris Taylor (left hand fracture) on 10-day injured list
In 50 games with the Giants this year, Wade Jr. was batting .167 at the plate with one home run and 15 RBIs. Furthermore, he recorded a .275 OBP and a .546 OPS.
Despite his struggles in San Francisco this season, the Baltimore native provides depth to the Angels and is just a few years removed from his 2021 season, where he earned NL MVP votes. As Los Angeles prepares to take on the Athletics, Wade Jr. will be a player to keep an eye on.
