The Arizona Diamondbacks are feeling optimistic heading into the 2025 MLB season, as they sent a message showing they truly feel like playoff and World Series contenders. Pitcher Zac Gallen spoke on the Foul Territory Podcast, “This is probably.. on paper.. I would say, the most talented team I’ve might have ever played on in my career.”
It seems like the Snakes have used the unfortunate ending to their 2024 season as fuel, using it to light a fire lit under them. Losing key pieces like Christian Walker to Houston and Joc Pederson to Texas via free agency.
The Arizona Diamondbacks feel they have filled it right back in with newly acquired pieces such as first baseman Josh Naylor. The 27-year-old Naylor hit .243/.320/.456 in 2024, his first All-Star season. Something the Diamondbacks are hoping he can replicate in the desert in their chase for another World Series appearance. The NL is still very competitive, and will still include the likes of teams such as: Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia. They could very well be fighting to make the playoffs again, in a league full of talent.
Starting off the season strong will be key for this Arizona Diamondbacks team, as their start of the season includes the Cubs, Yankees, Orioles, and Nationals. They will definitely need all hands on deck.
Spring training has been kind to the Arizona Diamondbacks Stars, as Corbin Carroll in 27 at bats is boasting a .370 avg, with 4 HR’s, and 9 RBI’s. Newly acquired pitcher Corbin Burnes is also settling in nicely with a 1.35 ERA in 13.1 innings pitched.
The Snakes are looking to strike back, and with some bite. I can hear the rattling noise now getting louder, and they are getting closer. The rest of the league needs to watch their step.
