Schumaker won NL Manager of the Year with the Marlins in 2023, after leading Miami to an unexpected postseason run. Considered one of the brightest young minds in baseball, he was expected to be heavily pursued by every team with a managerial opening, including the Braves.
However, given his ties to the Rangers organization, it comes as little surprise that Texas is planning to keep him in-house by promoting him to manager.
