The Athletics are off to a promising 21-19 start, which has them two games up on the Texas Rangers for first-place in the American League West.
On Monday, the A's added to their young core by calling up top prospect outfielder Henry Bolte from Triple-A.

On another note, the team is near the dugout celebrating after Henry Bolte was just called up to the big leagues.

The A's have space to add Bolte to their 40-man roster and will only need to make a move on their 26-man squad for the righty swinger.
The expectation is that Bolte, 22, will play center field on an every day basis for the A's. Denzel Clarke, their regular center fielder, has been sidelined for several weeks with a bone bruise in his left foot. Lawrence Butler and Tyler Soderstrom will man the corner outfield spots.
Bolte is the A's No. 5 overall ranked prospect in their farm system, per MLB Pipeline. The A's selected Bolte at No. 56 overall in the second-round of the 2022 MLB Draft.
Bolte put up monstrous numbers in Triple-A this season, slashing .348/.418/.658 with a 1.076 OPS, 12 home runs, 28 RBI and 17 steals in 37 games.
He will now get his chance in the major leagues with the A's center fielder still banged up. Butler and Soderstrom have also struggled this year as well, so it's possible that Bolte could eventually steal playing time from one of them too.
The A's are hoping that Bolte can come up to the big-leagues and make a difference as the team looks to continue their solid start to the season.
