Atlanta Braves Starting Pitcher Bryce Elder With Tremendous Start

Atlanta Braves Starting Pitcher Bryce Elder had a great start this afternoon on the road against the San Francisco Giants. He surrendered 1 earned run over 8 innings of work and punched out 12. Unfortunately, he walked away with a no-decision as Atlanta’s bullpen coughed up yet another game. San Francisco prevailed 3-2.

The Giants have been keen on the walk-off win in 2025. They added to their heroics this afternoon. San Francisco scored two runs in the bottom of the 9th inning. A two-run home run by Third Baseman Matt Chapman sealed the victory. It has been a disappointing year for Elder. He is 2-3 with a 4.08 ERA. Will today’s start help the starting pitcher get on track?

Elder made his debut with the Atlanta Braves in 2022. He has had a decent tenure in Atlanta. He made his lone All-Star appearance in 2023 and has been inconsistent. He had the worst season of his career in 2024 with a 6.52 ERA. His performance last season led to him splitting time between the big leagues and Atlanta’s AAA affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers.

Final Thoughts

Elder’s next scheduled start is June 13 at home against the Colorado Rockies. The starting pitcher will look to build upon one of the best starts of his career. The Atlanta Braves are a team in freefall. They need all the help they can get.
