Bartolo Colon: 'Big Sexy' nickname came from Noah Syndergaard

Whenever you think of Bartolo Colon, you think about his nickname, "Big Sexy."

Honestly, it feels like that nickname has been around much longer than it actually has been, and Colon revealed that he was given it by New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard in 2015.

Colon spent two decades in Major League Baseball, playing for the Cleveland Indians, Montreal Expos,  Chicago White Sox, Anaheim Angels, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers. Talk about a guy who gets around.

The 46-year-old went 247-188 with a 4.12 ERA, 1.312 WHIP and 2,535 strikeouts. He is a Cy Young and four-time All-Star.

Colon spent three years with Syndergaard and the Mets from 2014-16, and went 44-34 in that span with a 3.90 ERA, 1.225 WHIP and 415 strikeouts.
