Toronto’s offense has been outstanding, as the Blue Jays are enjoying quite the season so far. Their record is 68–48, a dominant display that has put them atop the AL East standings. On Thursday, they swept the series against the Colorado Rockies in historic fashion.

The Blue Jays absolutely demolished Colorado in the final game, prevailing 20–1. Not only that, throughout the series, the team collected 63 hits, scored 45 runs and posted a +39 run differential.

The latter two figures are franchise records, while the hit total stands as a modern-era MLB mark.

Toronto’s batting leader, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., went 8-for-17 with two homers and four RBIs, while Bo Bichette batted 7-for-17 and drove in ten runs. Davis Schneider provided two long balls, and Ty France recorded three doubles. Utility man Ernie Clement also chipped in with seven runs.

Blue Jays Face Dodgers in Upcoming Matchup

The Los Angeles Dodgers are in similar form to the Blue Jays. They boast an impressive 66–49 record this season and sit atop the NL West standings.

However, one thing is different—they just came off a series loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Still, they have an ace up their sleeve: two-way star Shohei Ohtani, who shouldn’t be underestimated.

Ohtani ranks second in OPS at .987 and third in home runs with 39 thus far this season. In pitching, the man has pitched in 19 innings and has found 25 strikeouts this season.
