Eddie Micheletti Jr. is quickly becoming a name to watch in the Toronto Blue Jays’ system.
This is the July 4– July 7 edition of the Minor League Report, where we look at how the last three days have gone for each of the Toronto Blue Jays’ affiliates. We’ll look at the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, High-A Vancouver Canadians, Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays, FCL Jays, and their two DSL teams in this article. On Friday, the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Rochester Red Wings 9-6. Christian Bethancourt hit two doubles, while Michael Stefanic, Phil Clarke, and Joey Loperfido all hit one double. Bobby Milacki made the start, giving up two earned runs in three innings of work. Dillon Tate picked up the win, going an inning and a third with a strikeout. Mason Fluharty struck out a batter in his two-thirds of an inning pitched, and Hayden Juenger picked up the save, striking out four in two scoreless innings.
The Bisons fell 8-5 on Saturday. Stefanic and Josh Rivera hit their fourth home runs of the season, while Orelvis Martínez hit his 11th of the year. Bethancourt, Ali Sánchez, and Rainer Nuñez all hit a double. Adam Kloffenstein made the start, giving up two earned runs and striking out five in five innings of work. Devereaux Harrison made his Triple-A debut, giving up an earned run in two innings of work.

Unfortunately, the Bisons weren’t able to get the series win, as they fell 3-1 to the Red Wings on Sunday. The lone run came from Nuñez, as he hit his seventh home run of the season and had a two-hit game. Anders Tolhurst made the start, striking out six and allowing two earned runs in five innings of work.

This week, the Bisons head to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to face the RaiRiders for a six-game series.
On Friday, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats lost 7-1 to the Portland Sea Dogs. Peyton Williams hit his eighth home run of the season, while Jace Bohrofen hit his 15th double of the year. Kendry Rojas made the start, allowing three earned runs in four and two-thirds innings pitched with five strikeouts.
They got back in the win column on Saturday, defeating the Sea Dogs 4-2. Charles McAdoo hit his eighth home run of the season and his 13th double, as both Devonte Brown and Cade Doughty also hit home runs. Juaron Watts-Brown made the start, going five innings with one earned run allowed and striking out six.

They won the series finale 10-5 to pick up the series win.McAdoo hit his ninth home run of the season, as did Peyton Williams. Gabriel Martinez had two doubles, and Ryan McCarty hit his ninth double of the season. Trey Yesavage made the start, going three innings with three earned runs and striking out four. Nate Garkow pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts.
This week, the Fisher Cats play a six-game series against the Patriots in Somerset.
After losing the opening game of the series against the Everett AquaSox, the Vancouver Canadians won the last five. On Friday, they defeated the AquaSox 9-2, with Eddie Micheletti Jr. hitting his 12th home run of the season and Hayden Gilliland hitting his first professional home run. Both of them hit a double, as did Nick Goodwin and Cutter Coffey. Fernando Pérez made the start, going 4.2 innings with two earned runs allowed and five strikeouts.
On Saturday, the Canadians shut out the AquaSox 3-0. Coffey hit his sixth home run of the season, and Arjun Nimmala hit his 17th double of the season. Khal Stephen made the start, going six scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Yondrei Rojas picked up the save, striking out a batter in his inning of work.
The Canadians defeated the AquaSox 4-3 on Sunday to bring their winning streak to five. Micheletti Jr. hit two home runs in the game, which ties him for the most in the Jays organization with Will Robertson. Carter Cunningham also hit a home run, his eighth of the year. Jackson Wentworth pitched five innings, giving up three earned runs. Irv Carter struck out three in two innings of work, and Chay Yeager picked up his fourth save of the season, striking out two in two innings of work.

This week, the Canadians head to Hillsboro to face the Hops for a six-game series.
This week, the Dunedin Blue Jays played just four games, losing the two games we’ll cover in this article. On Friday, they fell 4-0, as Sam Shaw had their two hits, one of which was a double. Colby Holcombe made the start, giving up three earned runs in 3.2 innings of work. Amir Garrett pitched in relief, striking out two batters he faced in an inning and a third.
The D-Jays were swept in the rain-filled four-game series, falling 8-1 to the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Sunday. J.R. Freethy hit his second home run as Shaw and Jean Joseph hit doubles. Johnny King made the start, giving up three earned runs and striking out four in two innings of work. Silvano Hechavarría pitched three innings, allowing one earned run and striking out six.
This week, the Dunedin Blue Jays head to Palm Beach to take on the Cardinals for a six-game series.
It was a busy week for the Florida Complex League Blue Jays, and it didn’t go well. Their lone win was on Friday, defeating the FCL Tigers 10-4. Yorman Licourt hit his sixth home run of the season, with Aldo Gaxiola, Enmanuel Bonilla, and Edrick Felix all hitting home runs. Licourt and Bonilla each hit a double. Troy Guthrie made the start, pitching five innings with two earned runs allowed and one strikeout.
On Saturday, the FCL Jays fell 3-1 to the FCL Tigers. Licourt hit his 14th double of the season, and Dylan Leach hit his second double of the season. Luis Quiñones made the rehab start, striking out a batter in his inning of work. Holden Wilkerson pitched three and two-thirds innings, giving up three earned runs.
The FCL Jays played a doubleheader on Monday, getting no hit in the first one and losing 5-0. Samuel Colmenares made the start, giving up two earned runs in an inning and a third. Garrett also pitched in this game, throwing a scoreless inning. It was the continuation of the June 30th suspended game.
In the second game of the doubleheader, the FCL Jays fell 7-6 in walk-off fashion. Junior Arias hit a double, the lone extra-base hit. Gaxiola had a two-hit game. Eduar Gonzalez made the start, giving up two earned runs and striking out four in three innings of work.
On Friday, the Dominican Summer League Blue Jays Blue defeated the DSL Pirates Black 6-2. J.T. Bain hit a double, the team’s only extra-base hit. Angel Rivero made the start, striking out eight and giving up an earned run in four innings of work.
They lost 4-3 to the DSL Blue Jays Red on Saturday. Daniel Guzmán had two singles, two of the three hits the DSL Blue Jays Blue had that game. Michael De La Cruz pitched four innings, giving up four earned runs.
On Monday, the DSL Blue Jays Blue defeated the DSL Giants Orange 1-0. They had one hit in the game, coming from Yeicer Crespo, who hit a single. The run was driven in by Rafael Flores, who hit a sacrifice fly.
On Friday, the DSL Blue Jays Red fell 15-8 to the DSL Arizona Red. Nestor Urbina hit his first home run and eighth double of the season. Renyel Campos hit his first career home run, and Elaineiker Coronado hit a double. Victor Espiritu made the start, giving up five earned runs in two innings of work.
The DSL Blue Jays Red defeated the DSL Blue Jays Blue on Saturday. Juan Sanchez hit his fourth home run of the season, and Campos hit a double. Edgar Gallegos started the game, giving up an unearned run and striking out six in four innings of work.
On Monday, the DSL Blue Jays Red fell 3-1 to the DSL Nationals. Sanchez hit a triple, as did Kennew Blanco, while Urbina hit his ninth double of the season. Daniel De La Cruz made the start, giving up three runs (one earned) in two innings of work. Antony De Los Santos struck out two in three scoreless innings, Marcelino Theodore struck out two in a clean inning, and Jarlin Ugarte struck out three in two scoreless innings.
