Fisher was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers for Cavan Biggio last season. After the trade, the right-handed pitcher had a 2.76 ERA and a 2.83 FIP in 16.1 innings pitched in Double-A and a 6.38 ERA and a 4.99 FIP in 18.1 innings pitched in Triple-A. In 4.2 innings pitched during Spring Training, Fisher had a 1.93 ERA and a 1.33 FIP in 4.2 innings pitched with a 41.2 K% and a 5.9 BB%.
Between High-A and Double-A, Ryan Jennings (selected in the fourth round of the 2022 draft by the Blue Jays) had a 1.93 ERA and a 3.34 FIP in 60.2 innings pitched, with a 26.7 K% and a 9 BB%. Through 4.2 innings pitched or three relief appearances, Jennings had a 1.93 ERA and a 4.11 FIP.
Sharp, acquired by the Blue Jays before the trade deadline for Yimi García, only had four plate appearances, failing to get a hit but walking twice and striking out once. After the trade, the catcher slashed .226/.316/.381 with three home runs in 96 plate appearances with the High-A Vancouver Canadians.
As for Robertson, the Blue Jays claimed him off waivers in September, pitching two scoreless innings with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons and one inning with the Blue Jays. He made his Spring Training debut on Tuesday, pitching an inning with two strikeouts while picking up the save.
Before Tuesday, the Blue Jays’ most recent roster cuts were on Sunday, reassigning Phil Clark, Riley Tirotta, Josh Kasevich, Andrew Bash, Lazaro Estrada, and Eric Pardinho to the minor league camp. One has to imagine that more cuts are coming soon enough.
