The Boston Red Sox are the hottest team in Major League Baseball. They defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 last night to notch their seventh straight win. Boston has outscored their opponents 60-19 over their last seven contests. Boston’s winning ways began with a three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies. They then took all three games from the Colorado Rockies and the opening game of their series against the Rays. How much longer can the Boston Red Sox keep it going?

The Red Sox are in fourth place in a competitive American League East. Boston’s offense has been one of the league’s best. They are eighth in the league in batting average, ninth in home runs, and fourth in runs scored. Rafael Devers, who was traded on June 15, still leads the ballclub in many offensive categories.
Boston’s pitching staff has been mediocre. They are 15th in team ERA, 19th in opposing batting average, and 20th in WHIP. Starting Pitcher Garrett Crochet has been tremendous in 2025. He is top 10 in the league in wins, ERA, and strikeouts. The rest of Boston’s staff must perform better for the team to reach its full potential.
The Boston Red Sox return to the diamond tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays, looking for their eighth straight win. If Boston can keep playing this well, no team will want to face them in the second half of the regular season.
