The Boston Red Sox today added two players to their 40-man roster to avoid being eligible for the Rule 5 Draft. Today they selected RHP Hunter Dobbins and OF Jhostynxon Garcia to the Major League roster. The club also designated RHPs Isaiah Campbell and Bryan Mata for assignment. The 40-man roster is now at 40 so any additions will require some moves.
